Two Decorated Townhome Models Now Open
at Concord Commons II in Des Plaines
Buyers can now tour two decorated models at Concord Commons II, Lennar’s second community of maintenance-free townhomes near downtown Des Plaines.
Located on Northwest Highway just south of Seegers Road, Concord Commons II will include 34 homes in two different floor plans from Lennar’s most popular townhome series. The Atwood and Camden models offer two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths, finished lower levels, open living and dining rooms, private balconies, and attached two-car garages. Both tri-level homes measure 1,721 square feet.
“We knew these models would generate a lot of interest because of the success of our last townhome community in Des Plaines,” said Leigh Nevers, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar. “Many buyers have been curious to see how this community differs from the first Concord Commons, and we’re happy to show off the new inclusions. There is no such thing as upgrade costs at Concord Commons II and buyers really appreciate that.”
Nevers explained that as part of Lennar’s logic to include everything a buyer wants and needs in a home, the models showcase a host of premium features already factored into the cost of the townhomes.
Some of the inclusions are hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and GE Profile stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; 12-inch ceramic tile flooring in the foyer and master bath; master baths with raised vanities; walk-in closets in the master bedrooms; an installed GE washer and dryer; 6-panel Colonist doors and trim; and 9-foot main level ceilings.
The Atwood
Priced at $321,500, the Atwood offers two bedrooms and 2½ baths. Visitors enter the model at ground level and walk a half flight of stairs up to the main living area, which has a powder room with 12-inch ceramic tile, open living and dining area, walk-in laundry room, and a balcony off the eat-in kitchen.
While a formal dining table is set for six, a casual café table accommodates four in the kitchen. The kitchen and dining room stay connected due to a pass through above the sink that looks into the dining area, an ideal set-up for entertaining, noted Nevers.
Upstairs, the Atwood has two master suites. The larger suite features an oversized walk-in closet and a private bath with a dual-bowl vanity, while the secondary suite has a wardrobe closet and access to its own bath.
Downstairs, the model’s finished lower level features a look-out window that provides plenty of natural light. The lounging area is set with a sofa, two arm chairs and a coffee table for additional entertaining space.
The Camden
For buyers who want the flexibility of a three-bedroom townhome, Concord Commons II offers the Camden design, which is priced at $324,500.
The main level of the model features the same layout as the Atwood, such as an open living and dining room, eat-in kitchen and laundry room, but in a lighter finish.
Upstairs, one of the two secondary bedrooms is furnished as a guest room, while the other is shown as a home office. The work space includes a desk, two chairs and large closet, which is ideal for storing a fax machine or important client files, noted Nevers. Both rooms share a hall bath.
Similar to the Atwood, the Camden’s lower level offers a casual family room and access to the rear-loading, two-car garage. A large storage closet is tucked beneath the stairs.
Concord Commons II is within walking distance of the Cumberland Metra station. Buyers also have easy access to Pace bus routes, O’Hare and interstates 90, 94 and 294. The community is also located in between the restaurants and shopping of the revitalized downtowns of both Mount Prospect and Des Plaines.
The Welcome Home Center and two decorated models are located at 702 Hanbury Drive, just off of Northwest Highway. To visit from 294 North, exit at Dempster and go west approximately one mile until it turns into Northwest Highway.
From 294 South, exit at Golf Road and turn left. Take Golf to River Road and turn left, then go approximately 1½ miles to Dempster and turn right. Proceed west on Dempster, which becomes Northwest Highway. The entrance will be on the right side of Northwest Highway.
