FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Lennar Releases New Home Sites at
Creekside Crossing in Plainfield
Lennar has released several new home sites as sales continue at Creekside Crossing, a new community of 64 duplexes in southwest-suburban Plainfield.
Located on the corner of Drauden and Renwick roads, Creekside Crossing offers three duplex floor plans measuring 1,650 to 1,966 square feet. Priced from the low $200,000s, the homes feature two to three bedrooms, 2 to 2½ baths, full basements and attached two-car garages.
Of the new homes just released, only one is available for immediate delivery while the rest will be ready for move-in early next year.
According to Leigh Nevers, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar’s Chicago region, Creekside Crossing continues to be popular thanks to the booming growth occurring in Plainfield.
“For the past few years, Plainfield has consistently ranked as one of the nation’s fastest-growing municipalities, and our sales certainly back that statistic,” said Nevers.
“Duplexes in the first phase of Creekside Crossing were snapped up by buyers who appreciate what a great value they offer in terms of pricing and features we include in each home. In fact, the strong sales are why there is currently only one home for immediate move-in. People are buying them almost faster than we can build them,” she said.
She added that at this time of year, buyers appreciate a later delivery date to avoid having to move in the middle of the holidays.
Nevers noted that as part of Lennar’s logic to include everything a buyer wants and needs in every home, the duplexes at Creekside Crossing include features such as 9-foot first-floor ceilings; kitchens with GE appliances, including an Energy Star dishwasher; 36-inch maple kitchen cabinets with crown molding and roll-out trays; deluxe master baths with a dual-bowl, European-height vanity and a separate soaking tub and shower; an installed GE washer and dryer; fully sodded home sites; and professional landscape packages.
Also notable are the efficient floor plans, which include full-sized laundry rooms, walk-in closets and eat-in kitchens.
“These are features buyers associate with single-family homes and don’t expect to find in a duplex. We’ve gotten great feedback on these floor plans. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a downsizer, having plenty of storage and the option for both casual and formal space is definitely attractive,” said Nevers.
For example, Nevers said the 1,827-square-foot Delacroix has been popular among young couples because of its separate living and dining rooms and island kitchen.
“They like the more traditional feeling of the home because, for many of them, this is where they’ll start a family. Like a classic single-family home, the Delacroix has a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room for holidays, an eat-in kitchen with an island for everyday meals, and three bedrooms on the second floor for a growing family,” she said. This plan is priced from $210,990.
Downsizers, Nevers said, like the 1,966-sqare-foot Botticelli because of its first-floor master bedroom suite and single-level living. It is priced from $229,990.
“It’s altogether a really nice floor plan. The kitchen has a breakfast area with a big bay window and the combination living and dining room allows buyers to set up the space however works best for them. Also, the back door provides an entrance from the garage near the laundry room, which is good for snowy boots and wet coats,” she said.
The second level of the Botticelli has two bedrooms, a shared bath and a loft. “Downsizers find that to be a good area for their grandkids or overnight guests,” Nevers said.
The third plan is the 1,650-square-foot Raphael II, a ranch with two bedrooms and two baths priced from $219,990. “The single-level living of the ranch is good for downsizers, but first-time buyers also like this plan because of the split layout,” Nevers said. A split layout means the two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the home, which adds more privacy.
“We have some single, first-time buyers choose this plan and get a roommate to offset their mortgage payments. Siblings also sometimes opt to buy together,” she noted.
Nevers added that all buyers are impressed with the full basement included with every plan. “Whether for a family room, play room or simply extra storage, the versatility of this space is great.”
