Lennar Homebuyers Find Pot of Gold at Greywall Club
Builder surprises Joliet couple with Ireland vacation
When Joliet couple Michael and Gigi Hepp bought and moved into their dream home at Greywall Club in March, the furthest thing from their mind was taking a European vacation. But when Lennar recently surprised them with a weeklong getaway to Ireland, the couple gladly shifted their attention from unloading moving boxes to packing up their suitcases.
The Hepps were the grand prize winners of Lennar’s month-long St. Patrick’s Day promotion, which awarded all buyers of immediate-delivery homes with a 42-inch plasma television and a selection of prize packages valued at $1,000. No purchase was necessary to register for the Ireland getaway, but the Hepps were lucky enough to walk away as both grand prize winners and Lennar homeowners.
“We’ve lived in an older home in Joliet for years, so we’ve had our eye on the new activity at Greywall Club for quite some time,” said Michael Hepp. “But we weren’t totally prepared to move until this past March. It was pure coincidence that Lennar was running this promotion at the same time. We thought we were lucky enough to find the perfect home, let alone win a trip to Ireland. This trip is obviously the best housewarming gift we could ask for!”
After the Hepps moved into their new home, Lennar asked them to stop by the Greywall Club Welcome Home Center for a visit. When the Hepps and their six-year-old daughter walked through the door, they were surprised with the news that they were the grand prize winners of the St. Patrick’s Day promotion.
“Lennar is dedicated to making buyers like the Hepps feel tickled, delighted and happy from the minute they step foot in one of our communities,” said Leigh Nevers, vice president of marketing for Lennar’s Chicago region. “And we want that feeling to last even after they move into their new home. I can’t say for sure whether they were tickled, but I certainly saw the delighted and happy looks from Michael and Gigi when we filled them in on the Irish surprise.”
The Hepps purchased the 2,686-square-foot Eisley floor plan, one of Lennar’s most popular single-family home designs. The Eisley offers four bedrooms, 2½ baths and a first-floor den.
According to Nevers, homes at Greywall Club include everything buyers like the Hepps want and need in the total cost. For example, the Eisley features nine-foot first floor ceilings; an installed GE washer and dryer; GE kitchen appliances, including a side-by-side refrigerator and 36-inch kitchen cabinets with roll-out trays and crown molding; deluxe master baths with 12-inch ceramic tile, a dual-bowl vanity and a separate shower and soaking tub.
“We shopped around at several new communities in Joliet, but the other builders weren’t offering as many included features as Lennar,” said Michael. “Not only were we looking for brand-new finishes, but we also wanted more space. Gigi usually works from home, so the first-floor den is perfect for her office. And with four bedrooms upstairs, the home offers more than enough space for our daughter’s toys. It’s nice to have so many flexible options.”
The Hepps were also pleased with the family-friendly amenities offered at Greywall Club. As one of Lennar’s master-planned communities, Greywall Club is surrounded by bike paths, open fields and numerous walking trails. At the center of the community is a 3,700-square-foot, year-round clubhouse that features a library, club room, fitness center, kitchen and two outdoor pools.
Located just beyond the clubhouse is the Aux Sable Middle School, the latest addition to Plainfield School District 202. An on-site elementary school will open next fall, allowing the Hepps’ daughter to walk to school for years to come.
Located at Caton Farm and Ridge roads, Greywall Club is a clubhouse community of approximately 600 single-family homes, townhomes and duplexes on Joliet’s far west side. Prices for single-family homes start in the $240,000s and include four to five bedrooms and 2½ to 3 baths; duplex homes include two bedrooms and two baths; and townhomes offer two to three bedrooms and 2½ baths.
To visit Greywall Club, take Interstate 55 South to Route 126. Head west on Route 126 to Ridge Road, then turn left. At Caton Farm Road turn right and head west to the community. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, call (815) 577-0053 or visit www.lennar.com to chat live with a new home specialist.
